PO2 is an international working group that studies natural variability in seawater dissolved oxygen. Founded in 2024, it is a part of Past Global Changes (PAGES).
Together, we published a detailed synthesis of proxies that can be used to reconstruct past ocean oxygenation.
I am a member of the PO2 steering group and one of the organizers of our second workshop: Notable Hypoxic Events of the Geologic Past (December 2025 in Raleigh, NC!)
MioOcean is an international effort to compile ocean temperature data for the Miocene (~23-5 Ma). We are using this data to reconstruct global and regional temperature trends, with a goal to reconcile mismatches between data and climate models. It is a part of PlioMioVAR, a PAGES working group, entering phase 2 of its efforts.
I am a member and former co-lead of the Mg/Ca proxy group and am co-leading one of the multi-proxy output papers.

The Early Miocene Working Group is investigating early Miocene climate and biotic dynamics.
We are collaborating on several large-scale projects.
